Rich Cain
Installation / Field Supervisor
How long with Betlem Residential Heating and Air Conditioning?
I joined the team back in 2003 — after two years with a different residential company. Making the move was the best thing I ever did.
Responsibilities as Lead Installation Technician?
I started out in the Service department doing annual maintenance, but found my calling with the Installation team — this is what comes naturally to me, for some reason. Today I perform installations of forced air, heat pumps and hydronics systems. I actually love what I do.
Special training, credentials or accomplishments?
My HVAC career began as a mechanic in the New York State Army National Guard. Huge learning experience for me. I earned my HVAC degree from Monroe Community College and then finished an apprenticeship training program through the Local 46 Sheet Metal Workers’ Union. I try to keep up with the latest trends by attending regular industry training every year.
Life outside of Betlem Residential Heating and Air Conditioning?
I love the outdoors. You’ll always find me outside doing something — hiking, fishing, hunting. Together with my wife and two kids, there’s never a dull moment.
